Wholesale Accounts Manager

Micheldever Tyres, is the UK`s fastest gwoing and one of the largest tyre wholesaler, distributor and retailer who sell 6 million tyres nationwide. Our board leads a Group that now employs in excess of 1500 employees, operating across an expanding network of over 100 retail centres.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Wholesale Accounts Manager to join the Wholesale sales team.

ROLE:

Reporting to the Sales Office Manager you will be responsible for working within a busy sales office as part of a proactive sales team the role will be to develop existing and new accounts in conjunction with the Area Sales Team.

  • Responsible Director: Wholesale Director
  • Reports To: Office Manager

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITES:

Sales:

  • Managing customers within customer credit limits 
  • Managing business / brand promotions and making sure these are communicated to all customers
  • Processing customer’s orders and making sure the correct information is processed.
  • Building a business relationship with customers.
  • Giving product information including stock availability, prices and delivery.
  • Processing customers’ orders through our system.
  • Placing enquiries and orders with suppliers.
  • To record/report details on any stock shortages
  • Making sure the correct delivery information is processed.
  • Making sure all information is accurately communicated to the customer.
  • Giving the customer account information from the sales ledger.
  • Communicating customer information to the Management and Area Sales Manager’s
  • Managing your customers to maximise sales and profit
  • Liaise with other departments

Internal Control:

  • Ensure that company policy and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure the appropriate responses are made in a timely fashion to requests 
  • Carry out any reasonable request / tasks as deemed necessary by the office manager.
  • Read, understand and action all points in the employee handbook as they become relevant.
  • Inform the manager immediately of anything suspicious, unusual, or contradictory to the proper running of the office. 
  • Ensure relevant policies and procedures are followed to enable compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the aspects of responsibility under the control of this role.
  • Support of internal and external audit activities as required.

Customer:

  • Dealing with any general enquiries.
  • Making sure all information is accurately communicated to the customer.
  • Ensure all promotions are communicated to the customers
  • Ensure the agreed ‘Customer Journey’ is carried out with every customer.
  • Ensure customers are dealt with in a manner that portrays a professional image.

People:

  • Communicate in a civil and effective manner with colleagues, customers and management. 
  • Act in a responsible and professional manner at all times.
  • Respect other team members and assist when required.
  • Inform the management team of any training requirements needed to fulfill your role.
  • Ensure a high standard of personal presentation including wearing correct company uniform at all times. 
  • To be an active team player committed to achieving success.

Health & Safety:

  • Comply with all company/customer health & safety procedures and following all necessary safe working practices.
  • Take responsibility for housekeeping.
  • Carry out hazard spotting on an ongoing basis and inform management of any possible and health & safety issues.
  • Always wear/ use appropriate PPE when required.

Drivers licence desirable.
